An exciting addition to Number One Machining Ltd.’s profile is the joint venture they have established with the newly founded Eagle Specialty Machining of Dorchester, NB, with a view to developing working projects with IRB’s (Industrial and Regional Benefits program) featuring aboriginal content. With the capability of providing valuable in-house training for operators, programmers, and CMM, Number One Machining Ltd. is an important training facility for aboriginals looking to procure projects in the aircraft and military industries.

Eagle Specialty Machining is owned and operated by Mike Knockwood who has over 20 years of experience as a machinist as well as a CNC programmer and operator. A graduate of the New Brunswick Community College in 1985 with courses in the Machinist and Tool Die Making programs, Mike has an extensive background in the practical aspects of this business venture. Serving customers in both Atlantic Canada and Northeastern United States, Eagle Specialty Machining is working toward its ISO certification. With a brand new 3750 sq. ft. facility at Fort Folly First Nations, this company is well poised to take part in a new and exciting future.
